Audrey is a sophomore at Chatham High School. She is also a physical therapy patient at DOAR Chatham. She works with Joey Scearce, MPT and Mandy Adkins, PTA (pictured) to increase strength, improve range of motion, and decrease pain levels in her neck and shoulders.
Audrey shares her physical therapy story here:
I was in a car accident, and afterward my neck and shoulders hurt a lot. It was constant, so it made it hard to turn my head or raise my arms, and I couldn’t sleep at night. I found out I had a pinched nerve in my neck. My doctor gave me the option of doing physical therapy or having surgery, so I decided to try therapy. Now, my neck and shoulders only hurt sometimes. I have a few more therapy visits left to keep working on my goals, then I’ll join the gym here to keep my range of motion and strength up.
Thanks for sharing your story with us, Audrey!
