Are you a student interested in a career in physical therapy, occupational therapy, or athletic training?
We invite you to explore your future career with DOAR by completing a clinical rotation or internship, observing, or volunteering.
Clinical Rotations and Internships
For students who are currently be enrolled in an education program for: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Athletic Training. We must obtain an active Clinical Affiliation Agreement with the student’s degree program before a student can begin a clinical rotation or internship with us. Program Directors are encouraged to email James Turner, Clinical Director, at jturner@doarpt.com to establish or renew a clinical affiliation agreement for any of our locations.
Student Observations and Job Shadowing
If you are considering a career in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy, observing or shadowing alongside a therapist can be beneficial. Students must be enrolled in high school or college, and must be at least 16 years of age. Observations are short-term (less than 2 weeks) and do not include hands-on experience.
Student Volunteering
If you want gain experience and volunteer hours in a healthcare setting, we invite you to apply to be a student volunteer. Student volunteers must be at least 16 years of age. Volunteers are requested to commit to a minimum of one 4 hour session per week for a minimum of 3 months.
