The Yanceyville Office Coordinator is an essential and dynamic team member who wears many hats. Responsibilities include management of the front office, patient exercise setup and supervision, and housekeeping. The position represents the clinic to patients, referring providers, and in the community.
Hours of Work: Monday, Thursday and Friday, 8am – 5pm
Location: 3310 Highway 86 North, Yanceyville, NC
Office Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient referrals, registration, and scheduling
- Greet all patients and other visitors
- Represent the clinic to patients, referring providers and community members
- Operate standard office equipment, such as computer, copier, scanner, phone and fax machine
- Establish and maintain patient records in electronic format
- Keep information confidential in accordance with HIPAA
- Verify insurance information and obtain pre-authorization if required
- Communicate with appropriate staff at the centralized billing office
- Participate in internal chart audits, billing audits, and other compliance programs
- Participate in marketing activities and special events
- Other duties as assigned
Therapy Technician Responsibilities
- Work as part of a team to provide physical therapy services to our patients, under the direction and supervision of the Physical Therapist
- Ensure facility hygiene and maintenance
- Patient escort to treatment area
- Exercise equipment setup
- Therapeutic exercise monitoring
- Modalities setup
- Aquatic therapy monitoring
Housekeeping Responsibilities
- Vacuum carpeted floors
- Sweep and mop tiled floors
- Collect and empty trash
- Clean and disinfect surfaces and equipment
- Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors
- Dust furniture and scrub surfaces clean
- Clean and service restrooms with mops and disinfectants
- Identify and report possible repairs
Qualifications
- Expertise in using computers and Internet-based applications
- Ability to critically think and problem solve
- Able to communicate verbally and in writing professionally
- Able to work as part of a team to support the physical therapy staff
- Previous work experience in a physical therapy setting a plus
- Previous work experience supervising exercise strongly preferred
- Must live within 20 miles of the office location
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation includes an hourly rate of $11/hour. Because this is a part-time position, benefits are not available.
